Self-Referential Humor

Self-Referential humor is a comedic device quite common in video games. The basic premise is for something in a videogame (usually a later installment in a franchise) that references a past game, character, level, place, event, or anything else from a past game.

This edit will also create new pages on Giant Bomb for:
