    SHADE is one of the selectable pilots in Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness. He is the result of experiments preformed by the Earth Corps to create the perfect soldier.

    Shade is an attempt by the Earth Force to create the perfect soldier. He ended up being a prime candidate due to his strength and youth. To test the obedience of their "super soldier", Shade was ordered to kill his entire unit, which the Earth Corps writes off as an accident.

    Shade is a cyborg and pawn of the Earth Corps. His transformation resulted in the loss of memories of his life prior. His memory is partially restored at the mention of Jin's last name, Saotome, due to the fact he fought with and regrettably killed Jin's father Ken, who was part of his old unit. Later in the game he becomes delusional and confuses Jin with Ken. In the end, Shade sacrifices himself to blow up the space station as it falls to Earth as a last favor to his former best friend.

    Shade pilots the UVA-02 HELION mech in the game.
