yes ofcourse. People have done better (approx 36 people) But it's not the best run in the world I made quite a few mistakes I think i could beat it if I really wanted to. Time will tell.
I'm in that first picture. Yeah! No extra work for me.
In my defense though, most of that was done on Insane, I got 8% of the pickups, I died 4 times, and I went the wrong way once which cost me 3 minutes. So, a casual run could probably be done (by me) in less than 30 minutes, no problem.
Just made my first legitimate speed run attempt and came in at 37:32. I messed up quite a few times. I feel like I could definitely shave at least 10 minutes off of that with practice.
@supermike6: *pst* secret to get a run under 3 hours or 1 hour for a matter of fact has nothing to do with skill, it has to do....with the foam gun! So but i'm gonna be bitching for awhile about the "totally rad" sequence breaking in the game!
@Druminator: Theres to ways one which uses the golden guns and a "secret" room and another that uses that unlimited foam gun ammo you get when you level to 30 I belive. After getting the foam gun with unlimited ammo you can beat the game quick by skipping certain parts as far as I know the only thing you have to do after getting the Foam gun is see your girlfriend get taken away for a second time then go straight to where you save her, using the foam gun to make bridges. I got 4 hrs 30 mins. on my first go. I'm looking to try and take my time with the second as opposed to doing it faster.
I also think that anything that breaks the sequence should be disqualified of any bragging rights. But, hey thats just me. I'm sure plenty of people are well proud of their bug exploits instead of their gaming prowess. I saw them all the time back in my halo 3 days...
@tranquilchaos: The thing is...this really isn't a bug exploit that we're using to achieve these times. This is a sequence breaking mechanism that the developers intentionally put into the game. Sure, it's obscure, and you would probably never find it unless someone told you about it, but it isn't a bug.
