    I am wondering how to begin a new game with my current level intact and if its possible to keep my gear as well.

    Pretty sure you can't start a new game with your equipment because that would allow you to just get to the final boss in minutes

    You can't keep your gear, but your level just saves no matter what. Simply start a new game and you will be at your current level.

    Yessir. Only thing I've yet to figure out is whether the reward for collecting all the keycards is unlocked in a new game as well, or whether you need to re-collect them to unlock the award each time
