I was hoping for an HD remake of Shadow of the Colossus. The texture and landscape pop-ins hinders the immersion factor every time I play it/

I got both of those games and a backwards compatible PS3 so I'm not super excited or anything, but it would still be nice to see SotC at a nice smooth framerate.

This might just make me buy a PS3.

As someone who now owns a PS3, and didn't own a PS2, I hope this comes out.

i hope they announce a collectors editions that includes this with The Last Guardian before this comes out.  I really can't wait for this to come out I hope it's sooner than that.

Yes it is still technically unannounced, but stuff like this just helps cement the likeliness of it happening.  Of all games on the PS2 that deserve another shot at finding an audience, it would be these.  Also, the whole 'games as art' debate could definitely be aided by having the posterboys of the pro games readily available to the public.

I would love this, mostly because I missed Ico.  I loved shadow of the colossus so playing through that in HD wouldn't be so bad either.

This is pretty cool, has been in speculation for a little while now though. It's nice to see a little bit more of an unofficial confirmation though :D

Now I have to decide if I want to sell my original copy of Ico and SoTC or not. Those things can fetch a nice amount.

 SOTC is likely my favorite game of all time, with ICO right up near it.  The idea of playing a crisper version of both games with a solid frame rate has me extremely excited.  I have probably played through sotc 20+ times and I'm willing to play through another 20 times with the right incentive, this is a good start.

if you don't care about collector value, then you want to sell at least ICO asap.  Shadow has no resale value of significance, but ICO can still fetch 40-60 bucks depending on where you go.  once this collection hits, the value will odds are drop significantly.

I hope that they remake it, and instead of leveling the framerate, just make it look that much better, and run it at FULL 1080p.
 
Yes, the framerate got atrocious in the original SotC, but I honestly think that made the game better in the whole "things are so nuts that the game can't even keep it straight!"

I've never played any of these games, experiencing them in HD sounds like a good hopping on point. Hope this is true, and followed by Metal Gear Solid HD...!
