Saw this over at NEOGaf, thought you guys may be interested as well.
I know it says, 4/01/2011, but I doubt this is an early April fools joke by Wal-Mart.
Shadow of the Colossus
Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Oct 18, 2005
Explore the Forbidden Land as Wander, a young warrior who must slay sixteen Colossi in order to restore the life of a sacrificed maiden.
Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection incoming?
If this is true, I may have to consider investing in a PS3. Though come to think of it, it'll probably end up being cheaper than trying to get the PS2 versions on eBay...
People have seen this right?
Edit: Whoops! Wrong link.
This is the one I meant http://www.gamesradar.com/ps2/ico/news/is-this-the-first-glimpse-of-hd-ico-remake/a-2010090394840585063/g-20060117125237625021
I got both of those games and a backwards compatible PS3 so I'm not super excited or anything, but it would still be nice to see SotC at a nice smooth framerate.
Not to hijack the thread but do I need to go back and play these if I still have my PS2 and have no plans to buy a PS3?
i hope they announce a collectors editions that includes this with The Last Guardian before this comes out. I really can't wait for this to come out I hope it's sooner than that.
Yes it is still technically unannounced, but stuff like this just helps cement the likeliness of it happening. Of all games on the PS2 that deserve another shot at finding an audience, it would be these. Also, the whole 'games as art' debate could definitely be aided by having the posterboys of the pro games readily available to the public.
It says April 1st. Games don't come out on fridays, usually. Early april Fools day?
Probably just a placeholder.
" It would be cool if this is true. However, I'd rather see a remake of those games for the PS3 than just an upres of the assets. "I would love it if they could somehow use the last guardian engine to re-make those games. Half of what made those games awesome was how they looked and felt.

SOTC is likely my favorite game of all time, with ICO right up near it. The idea of playing a crisper version of both games with a solid frame rate has me extremely excited. I have probably played through sotc 20+ times and I'm willing to play through another 20 times with the right incentive, this is a good start.
I hope that they remake it, and instead of leveling the framerate, just make it look that much better, and run it at FULL 1080p.
Yes, the framerate got atrocious in the original SotC, but I honestly think that made the game better in the whole "things are so nuts that the game can't even keep it straight!"
I've never played any of these games, experiencing them in HD sounds like a good hopping on point. Hope this is true, and followed by Metal Gear Solid HD...!
It's true!
It's still a rumor but for how much longer? I really hope for some announcements to happen at TGS regarding ICO/SotC and The Last Guardian. The heavily rumoured ICO / Shadow of the Colossus high definition PlayStation 3 collection will be released in March or April next year and cost "around £24.99", industry sources have told Eurogamer.
