At this point there is nothing on this planet that will stop Denis Dyack from making a spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness. Not failed crowdfunding campaigns, not fellow workmates being arrested on suspicion of possessing child porn, not even the disbanding of his studio. This game will happen. Denis demands it.

The Double D is back AGAIN with his new studio 'Quantum Entanglement Entertainment', which he co-founded with some other blokes. They'll be handling the project from now on, presumably up until the day that the apocalypse comes and Dyack is forced to finish the game in a burnt-out bunker.

Hahaha, I'll give him points for persistence at the very least. Though at this stage I feel like he should have least changed the name, given how much baggage 'Shadow of The Eternals' has. Also, it's a pretty generic name at that, even if it's technically meant to be a workaround of the 'Eternal Darkness' name. Sorta like The Evil Within and Resident Evil, I guess.

That Dyack... he really learned how to persevere through that ice challenge thing.

But guys, can you imagine if the game comes out and it's amazing.

I am too, I think. I cant lie and say I'm particularly excited for the game myself but you could never accuse him of being dispassionate about bringing it to fruition.

Whatever happened with that lawsuit where a bunch of guys from one company started another company but said "we have nothing to do with them" even though it really, really looked like they did?

What a sentence that is.

I don't understand how he could find money or investors to back the project. It seems crazy that something that failed on kickstarter multiple times could be back "in full production".

If this game is ever actually released there's no possible way it can be good, right?

Well I liked Eternal Darkness a lot, I just hope Dyack finds a way to get his creative vision realized without treating employees and businesses partners so badly as he has been alleged to do.

Maybe's he learned from the experience and is a better person for it, I certainly hope so.

While I applaud Denis Dyack for sticking with something he loves, going through TWO crowdfunding rounds unsuccessfully should have set some alarm bells ringing.

@shinjin977: I'll happily say that. Sleeping Dogs was a clunky GTA facsimile with passable combat and a pretty-yet-facile open-world.
