Online Co-op?

Is this game going to have online co-op? I haven't seen any reviews yet specifying one way or the other.

I think only local co-op. That's all I've heard.

Wow, the sense of entitlement here is pretty ridiculous. You know how much development time (read: money) a game needs to have a functional co-op? This is a small indie developer selling a game for $15. They don't owe you anything.

@Nadafinga:  Yeah they don't owe me anything but they could of just done it. It makes sense is my point. The fact that they are independent and the game is only $15.00? Castle crashers was the exact same thing (Cheaper I believe)Tom Fulp and Dan Paladin didn't have much money to back up there game but they still put it in because they realized that if they are going to offer a multiplayer game like that it would make sense to add online co op. I'm not hating on either of the games for anything else, I bought both of them willingly and I am still glad of the purchase but to think I'm being so selfish in saying it makes no sense for it to not have co op is mind blowing to me.  You can look at it this way you can be happy with it and understand it but for me it just does not make any sense if you don't value my opinion on it then that is the "ridiculous" part. The fact that it doesn't have online co op might cost them sales. I for one despite not liking it still am glad with my purchase.

I miss the good old days when online co-op wasn't a necessity.

The lack of online co-op is severely disappointing.  It's 2010, and for $60 a year now Microsoft needs to implement some type of control to require certain basic features.  I can play online co-op in fucking Streets of Rage 2.

It's lazy, and I feel bad for recommending this game to my brother, thinking we would be able to play it together.  Silly me for not doing my research and assuming the MULTIPLAYER CO-OP was online.  Still a decent game though, worth about 400 points.

I would probably have bought Skank if it had online co-op, so for me its definitely a deal breaker.

I have a growing urge to write up my feelings about this discussion and some related ones in my first ever blog post someday soon.

Here's the gist of it: the xbox is the true casual gaming platform.  Play non challenging stuff with your friends list over a beer.

Castel Crashers is a stats based button masher with hardly any skill involved.

Shanks is a hardcore affair, taking the edge off with a friend is not the idea. It doesnt cater to your demographic. Me? I am glad there are still developers out there who develop this type of game and spend their time on perfecting the combo engine over online coop. I really hope it pays off for them, otherwise we might end up seeing a lot less of these types of games in the future.
