killed by repetition
"Amazing!!" I exclaimed on first look. Most fluid animation I'd ever seen in a game of this sort. Funny, over-the-top gore coupled with a character style straight out of metalocalypse. It was simply genius. But then the luster began to wear off as the same enemies were thrown at me left and right. And normally this would be ok, but as the levels increased so did the amount of hits it took to destroy enemies. To the point that it nearly gave me carpal tunnel on each scenario from the amount of mashing it took to get to the next. It was also then noted that some of the animations of your character began to interfere with gameplay. You have to wait for each one to end to respond to the next move, if ya know what I mean.
So basically what It all boiled down to was an amazing looking game, with some of the slickest and funniest kills to date, plagued with a disease of painful difficulty and checkpoints that make you quit after running through the same situations 30 times in a row. I wanted to love this one but instead think it's pretty good, and will hopefully be much better when part 2 comes to the marketplace, which I'm sure it will...
