    Shenmue

    Franchise »

Created by Yu Suzuki, the Shenmue franchise follows the story of Ryo Hazuki, the son of a martial arts master, as he searches for his father's killer. It was groundbreaking in its time, for its impressive graphics, realism, open-world adventure gameplay, real-time weather, NPC schedules, and of course QTE cut-scenes.

Shenmue 3 should be released as something

if not a video game, they should still release shenmue 3 somehow... sega should make a movie or a book, or something... ANYTHING to finish up the plot.

No thanks, I'd much prefer they make the game, I don't want a graphic novel from Sega or anyone else, I want a videogame made with Yu Suzuki's close consultation at the very least.

At this point, as much as i'd like a game, i'd be happy with at least a plot outline.

The entire 16-chapter story has been released years ago.

Yakuza is probably better in combat, although camera controls sucks.  Oh wells.  I am still working on Yakuza 1.

lol. Yea, if they're not going to give us another game, at least tell us what would have happened in the game IF they had made it.

I think I'm at the point where I don't care if it's a game (though that would be preferable), as long as it gets resolved. I'm aware the story is finished, but I'm pretty sure it was never released or leaked. Anyway... Sega have made some pretty stupid decisions in recent years. Continuing the franchise would be stupid from a financial point of view, so maybe there's a tiny glimmer of hope.
