    Created by Yu Suzuki, the Shenmue franchise follows the story of Ryo Hazuki, the son of a martial arts master, as he searches for his father's killer. It was groundbreaking in its time, for its impressive graphics, realism, open-world adventure gameplay, real-time weather, NPC schedules, and of course QTE cut-scenes.

    Yu Suzuki shows how Shenmue was meant to end.

    Very interesting ending. Maybe one day they will make a Shenmue 3 with this ending.

    What's sad is that the ending for Shenmue II actually did involve a levitating sword… and it's still perhaps the greatest game ever.

    I still need to finish the 2nd one.. : / 
    I think I stopped because of the forklift job? (or was that in the first?)

    Well great now Shenmue 3 is spoiled.... as if it'll ever happen. How would that game even play today... would it be like heavy rain mixed with Yakuza's combat or something?

    In all honesty, I was only half-trolling. I honestly don't know what Shenmue is, but I didn't feel like looking it up (even though it's literally one click away from this page), and I wanted to see if I'd get a serious reply. I was not disappointed!

    I gotta play this series once they're re-release. I realize it probably won't have aged well though. Even though I haven't played more than 10 minutes of the one on xbox (2?), I maintain that Xavier: Renegade Angel needs a videogame in the vein of Shenmue.

    @MrKlorox: If they were to re-release it they couldn't just do an HD version like Sly and God of War. Looking back at some of the gameplay that was meh back than it defiantly hasn't aged well.
