So my bro brought over his copy of Shift 2 today for me to try out... and i absolutely hate it.  Now i really enjoyed the first shift game, i thought it was the most underrated racing game of this generation so far.  I really liked the way the career mode progressed, the cars all felt really good, and the cockpit view was exhilerating.  So now i go to Shift 2: Unleashed and... wait who the hell is this dude?  The racing "pro" is annoying to say the least, as i actually enjoyed the british announcer of the last game.  Then when i go to race, i find that the steering in Shift 2 is GARBAGE!  It's either too loose, or too sensative, i can't really tell which.  The Menu's seem laggy, and slow.  So am i missing something or is this game just not good?

I agree, I couldn't remember for sure, but I did feel like the handling had changed drastically from Shift 1 to 2. Seems it actually has, and it's not only me that feels this way.

Anyone know if the handling is different PC vs Xbox? I plugged my xbox controller into my PC and it feels like when I'm on a straight and i TAP left/right to readjust myself, the car immediately veers to the other side of the track.
I was hoping this was just a by-product of the PC (thinking maybe it's keyboard controls, but the 360 controller is just emulating the inputs from a keyboard) or is the handling this atrocious on the xbox as well

I agree about Shift 1 being a better game and that dude in 2 is really annoying. I have it for the PS3 with the GT wheel and when I popped in Shift 2 it controlled horribly. I tried putting it on easy with all the assists on but it still felt like shit. Then I tried going to the menu where you can change the driving style to Elite and it made the game 100% playable. I was surprised to find out that the most realistic driving style is the most easiest way to control the stiff cars.

This is just my input yours may differ.

I loved the first game too and I have no problems at all with the second one. The steering feels the same to me and I have yet to find something that I don't like about it. Maybe you just need to give it some more time.
