Picked this game up when it launched, really liking it so far. Any useful tips to a beginner in this series?

Don't put any points into MA or INT for the main character.

Avoid using a full party of demons early on. You'll only waste your limited MAG. Stick to the Hero, Nemissa, Zoma, and maybe one other demon. You can pull in the rest when you get to boss fight or a particularly hard fight.

You're probably past this point already, but Nemissa's spells are determined by a response you make early in the game. If you call her "Sexy" you get Lightning and Almighty skills, "Cool" gets you Ice and Dark, and whatever the last one was gets you Fire and Light. The Lightning and Fire spells are more useful than ice.

Your Zoma is the only demon that has completely free inheritance, but with no way to modify skills being inherited as you're fusing that can be a bit of a detriment, so pay attention to what skills he learns. As he levels up through fusion he can transform into more powerful forms.

Pay attention to personality types, it determines which types of skills the demon likes to use and you have to use skills they like to raise their loyalty. For example, Calm demons prefer to heal and defend and won't listen to most other orders until you get their loyalty high enough. Sly demons like offensive spells, Wild demons like to attack, dumb demons are kind of random, etc.

Don't avoid random battles, and you'll soon have an abundance of Magnetite.

Also, be careful when fighting enemies for the first time. It's possible than they can reflect your attacks, and you might get a game over which can be really frustrating.

You really shouldn't have much to worry about though. Soul Hackers is pretty easy for a SMT game.
