So I'm getting a Vita for my birthday and would like nothing more then to play Persona 3 on it.

Firstly - does anyone know if Persona 3 FES will see a UK release?

Secondly - is it worth getting Persona 3 FES over Persona 3 portable?

Thirdly - do i need to buy both - i.e. buy Persona 3 portable in order for Persona 3 FES to even work?

I'm sure there are a plethora of Persona buffs that are able to help me out - it would be greatly appreciated :D

    Firstly, I don't know.

Secondly, FES probably worth getting over P3P since it's the full game instead of the dumb-downed version that is P3P, though P3P improved on some important stuff and also lets you play as a lady, if that's your preference.

Thirdly, I'm quite confident that you don't need to buy P3P to play FES. I don't own a Vita or PS3, so I could be wrong.

It is basically over-world vs. combat - which is more important to you.

FES has the normal world map that you can walk around, anime cut scenes (not many) and an epilogue that a lot of people consider worthless, if not soul destroying.

P3P has a female campaign (limited differences), static world map (use cursor rather than actually running around) no amine cut scenes - but, lets you direct control everyone in battle.

That is the kicker for me. You can always youtube the cut-scenes. I find the static maps actually streamline social linking and the dumb AI in battle was what caused me to quit playing P3 back when it came out (I later returned with FES but the combat was never not a grind).

I am of the opinion that people should play both P3:FES and P3P if they can

I really enjoyed both of them, especially the female campaign and improved combat of P3P

Thanks guys - I think i'll go with portable as I want to take it on the go with me on the Vita. Plus the inclusion of full control in combat sounds more appealing to me.

On a side note - I'll totally be up for Persona 4: The Golden when it comes out :D

I've never played a persona game - I did love the Persona 4 ER though :) and in part that has made me very interested in playing some titles in the series.
