i have been watching the endurance run and at gamestop you can but persona 3 FES for 20$ just wondering if its pretty much the same. fusing personas, getting social links, and the battle style. also should i get P3 FES or P4. i havent played any in the series.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES
Game » consists of 7 releases. Released Apr 19, 2007
This expanded edition of Persona 3 adds additional content and a continuation of the original game's storyline.
how is this?
I don't know who minused you LordAndrew, but I +'d you again, since nothing you said was technically wrong.
There was no quick jump to bypass needless menus, that's what really got me. Perhaps that's just me, though.
Don't just neg me, whoever you are. Explain yourself if you feel differently.
Different story, and you can't directly control you characters. That's a big one there. If you don't set up your tactics properly, your party members could end up screwing you over.
To tell the truth i haven't got around to playing it yet but i hear it's great.
Maybe i should go play it now....
yea i think the thing that ruined persona 3 for me was the fact that i played persona 4 first...its very difficult to go to persona 3 after...its actually ruining the game for me
i never had a problem going back.
expect a lot more grinding. the games a bit tougher as well. social links can be reversed or broken.
i really like it though. im about 12 hours in.
story i find is a bit better in 4. more compelling characters and s.links. but it seems like everyone has a different opinion.
though nothing beats elizabeth dates. best thing in persona ever
Depends on what you like about Persona 4. P3 trades in honest characters for big narrative. There are those who like feeling part of an epic adventure, so if you feel you match that description, then go for it. Personally, though, I thought Persona 3 was a pretty dull and tasteless tech-fantasy.
I've played both P4 and P3 and this is how I would compare the two.
Character Design / likability: P4
Story: Draw (P4= Murder Mystery, P3= Twilight Zone-like zombification)
Social Link interest: P4
Art Style: P4
Soundtrack quality: P3
Soundtrack Depth: P4
Menu Design: P4
Game Length: P3
Dungeon Layout / Diversity: P4
Voice Acting: P4 has more of it
Post Fight Routine: P4 (P4: after each fight you gain exp, materials, and yen. P3: you only gain limited exp. then on occasion you can draw a card that grants yen, bonus exp, weapons, or health restoration.)
Accessibility: P4
Fight Mechanic: P4 (P4= you can gain full control of your allies or allow the AI to take over, P3= you only have access to the main character's menus at any point during the game, but you can disperse your team across the map to fight on their own or find exits / treasure.)
