So Persona 3 FES arrived in the mail yesterday and I'm loving it so far. However, I don't understand something about the fusing. Next to the names of the Personae (I guess that's the plural form?) there are numbers with dots that represent "Valid". Blank spots represent "Unvalid". What does this mean? Here's what I'm talking about:

    Name1 2 3 4 5 6
     Persona Name + Level DOTS
     Persona Name + Level DOTS

The game doesn't explain anything about the Valid and Invalid stuff. Can someone explain this?

It just means which personas you can fuse those personas with. So for example Orpheus is on the top of the list, number 1 and it has dots on the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 but not 6. This means I can fuse with any of those personas but it can't fuse with persona 1 because persona 1 is Orpheus itself and personas obviously can't fuse with themselves. As for persona 6, I can't fuse with that one because there won't be a new persona from fusing those two together.

@eroticfishcake: Ah, thank you. I figured it would be something obvious like that. Thanks!

@natetodamax: No problem. The first time you see the graph it looks really, really important but it's not. I'm not sure why they bother putting it there, probably just to pad out the screen. But yeah, it's nothing big.
