    Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is a role-playing game developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 2. It is chronologically the fifth installment in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series. Like its predecessor, its gameplay combines a traditional role-playing game with elements of a social simulation. Its critical and commercial success spawned a sizable media empire, including several spinoff titles.

    While fighting my way through Mitsuo's 8 bit-themed dungeon, I noticed that I got 1337 XP for a few battles. Anyone else notice this?

    If you've seen in more then once, I'd definitely think it was put in on purpose. It would fit the castle too, being video game related and all.

    Can't find any experience-related stuff on GameFAQs or Wikidot. Looks like experience is definitely not fixed, which means you just happened upon a fun coincidence. :)

    The 1337 fad wasn't around when 8-bit stuff was, it was probably just a coincidence.

    One time I got exactly 666 experience points...which was weird.  It may have even been in the same dungeon.
