Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is a role-playing game developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 2. It is chronologically the fifth installment in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series. Like its predecessor, its gameplay combines a traditional role-playing game with elements of a social simulation. Its critical and commercial success spawned a sizable media empire, including several spinoff titles.
Kimi no Kioku or Never More?
Both of them have their appeal. Although, I have a strange motivation to start clapping along with Never More.
I tried playing both songs at once, thinking it COULD sound pretty cool. Turns out to be trainwreck, however it wouldn't be bad idea to try and remix the two songs together in some way.
Memories of You/Kimi no Kioku, hands down. One of my favourite end credits themes of all time.
P3 SPOILERS BELOW!
The song itself is really good and fits so well with the tone of the game. The contrast between the upbeat melody of the piece and with the fact that it's essentially a elegy for the MC really works. The perfect way to bring closure to the game.
I cant understand a word of either songs, but if I had to choose anyway I definetly think P3's song sounds better.
Never More
hands down. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I found Persona 4 a lot more memorable of a game, even though that music was there every time you start the game (unlike the P3 theme which only played very infrequently), i still loved it in the end. Gave the perfect sense of "closure" to hear an expanded version of the music you hear when you're starting the game.
They are both very good songs, but I prefer the Persona 3 closing title song Memories of You/Kimi no Kioku since the ending of the storyline had stronger impact on me. The whole ending and then transition to the credits left me feeling sad and wondering. It was the perfect cap, in my mind, to a fully enjoyable storyline. Even now hearing the songs posted above brings back very warm feelings for P3.
Wow, 22 votes cast and it's exactly 50/50, usually there is a clear winner in polls like this. Then again, I was also suprised how even the other poll was about the four P4 girls.

The Battle for Everyone's Souls > Fog > Heartful Cry > I'll Face Myself -Battle- > The Almighty > Darkness > The Genesis, imo. (All of these are Persona 3/Persona 4 Boss songs) ""Never more! But "The Almighty" from the P4 soundtrack wins em all! "
Pshhh, what're your ratings then?
Edit: Changed some stuff around.
The Almighty > New World Fool > Battle for Everyone's Souls > The Genesis > Fog > Burn My Dread > Darkness
Battle for Everyone's Souls is awesome, but it's just a remix of the "Poem", so it loses some points for originality.
" @FluxWaveZ: Almighty > New World Fool > Battle for Everyone's Souls > The Genesis > Fog > Burn My Dread > Darkness "What!? A New World Fool? I could agree with the others, but I absolutely hate that one! What makes you put it in 2nd place? I don't really like songs that go slowly so maybe that's why... But only the middle of The Battle for Everyone's Souls has the remixed version of The Poem for Everyone's Souls, and I think it's pretty fitting for the fight, especially because the boss changes arcana. Same could be said for the Reach Out To The Truth remix at the ending part of The Genesis, but oh my God that song goes slow as Hell. It's still fitting for what you're fighting, though.
The build up is slow, but my god is the last 80 seconds awesome. That in itself makes it worth it to listen through 5 minutes of near nothingness.

EDIT - scratch that, i got confused between the almighty and 'genesis'.

Totally agreed re: Genesis. Here's an upload of those last 80 seconds isolated:

Never More for me.
(spoilers?)
I still don't understand why so many people hate "The Genesis". Sure the build up is slow, but your going to be fighting that boss for about 10 - 30 minutes. The slow pacing it what really did it for me and that song. It made me realize, "Oh shit, I'm fighting a god(dess)!"
Don't get me wrong, I love Battle For Everyone's Souls too.
One of P4's soundtrack weaknesses overall is that the music in dungeons before Naoto's is lacking. Shouldn't be a fault of Meguro's skill, as other games like Digital Devil Saga especially all have really awesome music throughout. Strange Journey is looking to be all about the dungeons, so hopefully it won't disappoint aurally.
Yeah, I didn't find the dungeon music before Naoto's particularly bad (except for Yukiko's), but they were lacking. I'd say Corridor is the best dungeon song for the mood it gives with the dungeon and Long Way is the best if I'm just listening to it.
(Spoilers?) and Off-Topic:
The Genesis is a tremendous final song, the drawn out intro that borders on meaning complements the scene perfectly. Instead of being just a - final boss track with guitar solos - it's like a symphony of the giants. It's unique. Specially when it gives you goosebumps and nostalgia during the reach out to the truth finale.
" I think they both fit well for the game they are in..both seem to make sense with the stories and outcomes of each game, but I like Kimi no Kioku a bit better. "^This.
And Long Way is personally my favorite track in the game. When I first heard it I said to a friend, "I could listen to this all day." According to my Last.fm page, I've listened to it over 2500 times! That whole part of the game made the experience for me and I'm psyched that Jeff and Vinny are finally getting there.
That reminds me of what Skies of Arcadia did; changing the mood of the music on a boss fight, depending on how well you are doing against the boss. Which is totally what they should have done." When that part comes up it feels as though it should mean that victory's right around the corner and it's full of hope, but when you're just in the beginning of that fight and that part starts playing, it doesn't fit well. "
" @FluxWaveZ: The Genesis is really cool though if you can beat that boss fast enough so the final build-up is playing as the fight is reaching its conclusion. Damn, I thought I really liked that song but 2500 times!? But it is hands down the best dungeon music.

I think that I've unfortunately been brainwashed by the Void Quest music, it's all I can ever think about. The little 8-bit beeps aren't letting me sleep. 0_o
Kimi no Kioku is a masterpiece, wins hands down for me. It still gives me chills like it did after I finished playing P3. Such a perfect song to close that game out on.
Also love Never More, just not quite as much (Brand New Days from FES was great too!)
Kimi no Kioku without a doubt. I love that song, dude. At first, going from Persona 4 to Persona 3, I thought that the Persona 3 music sucked and was horrible. After five minutes of playing that game, I couldn't bear to not listen to it. I love that game's music so much, I spent £62 on the main character's headphones! That, my dear friends and people-I-don't-know-which-to-be-honest-is-most-if-not-all-of-you, is fandom.
I think we can all agree though, that these soundtracks kick effective ass.
Kimi no Kioku is a fantastic song and it's great for a song based on the game's main theme, but it doesn't have the same vibe Never More has. Maybe that's because I felt a much greater sense of accomplishment when I finally heard Never More, than I did when hearing Kimi no Kioku. That could possibly just be my investment in the Investigation Team and their commitment to finding the truth behind the murders and the TV world, I felt a greater sense of accomplishment when I saw the credits roll than I did with Persona 3.
