Sometimes when you attack a monster by using a spell they are weak against, the MC says the Persona name, and gets a close up of his eyes. Is this completely random, or is there any way to trigger this every time? I like when he does that.

Yeah I think it's random. I like it better in Persona 3 though because the MC is voiced by the same guy who plays Yosuke, which makes it way more awesome.

I think it only happens when you get a crit. or hit a weakness but even then it's still random.

It happens when one of the monsters/shadows is weak to the spell you cast on them. for him it is pretty much random

Came in expecting some sort of Master of Ceremonies calling out Personas.

Mad random. Usually on crit though. 

Pretty sure he doesn't do it for most persona, just some of the more important ones.

In P3P, the female protagonist is voiced by Rise.

Actually, he'll do it for all of them. He has a line recorded for each one. If you rip the audio from the game you can listen to each one. "

It's when he attacks the shadow with something it's weak against.

I think it happens if the spell is it's weakness AND it crits.

The name call out is random; the eye shot is when you hit a weakness.  And yeah every single persona is named

I don't have any sources (any longer), but this is what I remember from playing Persona 4 and watching the Endurance Run. "
