Based on the comment by Jeff at 6:13 in episode 8 of the Persona 4 Endurance Run i'm wondering if anyone has ever actually counted up all the "Sheesh"s in P4. If not, I know what i'm going to be working on, i'm think a montage of every "Sheesh" with musical accompaniment.

I don't think it was actually said much in the game. I only remember it being said about 3 times by Chie and once by Yosuke or something, but I don't think counting each one would be worth doing because of this.

I know there were more than three instances, but I doubt the number is as high as some might be hoping for... Still, any excuse to revisit the endurance run..?

Sometimes I say sheesh.

I doubt the video would last more then 20 seconds.

That's a shame, my nostalgia tells me there were loads of instances of sheesh but you're probably right. Nevertheless, I will count them up for prosperity.

The work continues, currently the video is pushing 2 minutes and i'm only up to episode 11 (I have to sit through the whole ER again at 4 times speed looking for Sheesh), I have the feeling that i'll have to go back and do much trimming. At the moment i'm only counting up the times when someone (Chie) in P4 says Sheesh in dialogue but i'm wondering if I should also count when Jeff and Vinny say Sheesh...  Opinions?

Also, using audio from the endurance run would be terrible, you'd barely hear the 'sheesh' and all you'd hear is Vinny and Jeff's giggling.

Oh man, I had a bunch of soundbites taken out of the game but the upload service I had them on deleted my account.  =(

I was re-watching the Endurance Run a while ago and knew about this thread, so I decided to catalogue all the Sheesh's. I don't have video, but I recorded when they happened... I might have missed a few as I recently was playing Persona 4 and noticed that there was a Sheesh I had missed. I think I have most of them, though.

So by a ridiculous series of events I lost my YouTube account, thanks Google. I've updated the above video with a re-upload on a new account; you can get a version of the video of your very own here, if you're crazy.

By the way: Yes, i'm fully, absolutely, painfully aware that there are plenty of sheesh's not in the video, if I find enough more to warrant a re-edit i'll make another version. (I'm currently re-watching the ER anyway)

All right, here are all the new ones I found (I marked Geez's, etc. accordingly so you know to skip them if you want).

And here's the full list. I think there are a few that I didn't mark correctly before (e.g. 150 1:10:04 was incorrectly marked as 150 10:04 IIRC), but only a few, so it shouldn't be necessary to look through all of them again if you don't want to.

In case anybody is wondering I decided to make myself one rule on this: The sheesh must be from the game itself, Jeff or Vinny saying sheesh does not count. The only exception is when a text only sheesh is vocalized by either Jeff or Vinny.

Also: sheesh, I feel like such a jerk for saying it but... The "Sheesh" counter on the bottom-right says "Sheeses" instead of "Sheeshes".

(Side note, in writing this I looked up "sheesh" and it is in fact a shortening of "Jesus")
