Ok, I have this game and once I get my ps2 in a day or two I will be starting my playthrough of it. I have been thinking long about what team I should use and I was thinking about Yukiko, Teddie, and Yosuke. I think that they are all strong magic users and I feel they could prove a very powerful team. Watching the endurance run I don't think I would be a big fan of Chie's Physical skills. I'm not sure just wanted to see what other people's team of choice is and its benefits.

What Team
My A-team was Yukiko, Teddie and Yosuke, so you should be fine with that.
Provides solid healing, buffs and offense.
stick with the Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko team and by the point you get Naoto, if you are willing to do some level grinding, Kanji and Teddie have some really good moves. Naoto is only good for regular battles and not really good with bosses.
Kanji, Yosuke, Teddie.
^that is the best team. Yeah, its all male, and that sucks, but Kanji is a superior version of Chie, Teddie is a superior version of Yukiko and Naoto sucks. This team can get you fully buffed in one turn, has huge damage output thanks to Kanji, good med. support from Teddie, and Yosuke can fufill pretty much any role at any given time.
TEAM BRO
Doesn't mean much, though:P I'd say any combination of character is good enough to get you through the game. Even the worst possible combination(Kanji/Chie/Naoto) can make it through the game just fine. They are all you ever need so long as you have the Personae to fill in the gaps.

Kanji and Chie are fucking fantastic against the final/secret bosses though.
Chie: Power Charge
Kanji: Matarukaja
and then BAM
Yeah. But that's, like, the last 5-10% of the game. For the rest of the time you have to deal with the fact that Chie does a pittance of damage and that you have 0 healers.Kanji and Chie are fucking fantastic against the final/secret bosses though.
Chie: Power Charge
Kanji: Matarukaja

Kanji, Chie, Yukiko. Basically punch through the entire game and use SP on bosses if the need arises.
I went with Kanji, Yukiko, and Naoto. Once I got Naoto, that is. Until Naoto I used Chie with the other two. The only problem I ever had with Naoto is getting her S. Link maxed out requires planning ahead, since you get her so late in the game it's easy to run out of time and be unable to max it if you don't plan ahead or make sure to make her a top priority.
once everyone is available my main party is MC, yukiko, yosuke and either kanji or teddie. though this party are for bosses since mc's personas could fill the gap. i feel that naoto's and chie's skills arent really useful against bosses.
This same thread was done about 2 years ago [LINK] but it's been a while. I haven't changed my answer since then though. Yosuke, Yukiko and Teddy with Naoto traded in and out periodically.
I always roll with Chie, Kanji, and Yukiko. Maybe not the best strategy-wise, but I wanted to use both Kanji and Chie so I made it work.
I feel like during the endurance run they really dismissed physical skills because they take away HP, but then constantly complaining and leaving the dungeon because they run out of SP. I found physical a good way to preserve SP, and Chie's god hand is fairly strong.
