Just think it'd be awesome to play through Persona 4 on my X360 controller with my HDMI, I know its unrealistic expecting a 60hr + game to be a download but would be awesome to see some sort of port, and maybe it would be possible to release it in xbox original vain ...

Just really like it on my PS2 but be awesome to earn achievements for Mysterious Fox escapades and to add it to my X360 library, unlikely and it is just a thought and It'd be cool to see what others think.

A port would be nice.

A dressed up port would be great.

NISA works pretty close with sony, so I'd like some trophies actually.

Persona 4 is developed and published by Atlus.

I wanna say, "That's stupid" but honestly I can't ever say no to more Persona 4 and I'm such a dirty whore for achievements.

Thats what my mum said but without the "Persona 4" and "for achievements"

I would write this off as dumb, but, seriously, that is sort of a good idea. I don't see it happening, but a graphically improved port (read: no gameplay changes) would be sweet.

yeah why not, I'd buy it.

I would definately like to see a port for 360!

no

IT will never happen, at most there might be a PS3 port.  To the best of my knowledge, all SMT games have been on playstation.

#13 Posted by Diamond (8634 posts) -

It's an OK idea, but I and everyone I know already own the game on PS2.

Well, a couple of systems for the original, but not many ports this gen besides, technically, the PC.

Well you're wrong about that.  But there won't be a port because the graphics overhaul wouls be too much

Not really.

I'd rather a new, multiplatform Persona 5.

You know what I just caught that. And I know why it happened too; see I was looking at something for "Holy Badman" and thought about how this is a game is something ATLUS would do, and so the companies got switched in my head.

So correction, ATLUS doesn't care what they make on where, so maybe; as they've done as many remakes as SquEnix these days.

NO! Just give us Persona 5 on PS3 and 360.

#23 Posted by iAmJohn (6131 posts) -

I can't think of a single thing that being on the 360 would add to the game.

A port would be a bad idea. The game is near perfect as is. Porting it to XBL or PSN would just give game reviewers round two to bash the game or knock down the score unless they added new elements like FES for Persona 3.

Solution: PS2 emulator, Make Backward Compatible a STANDARD for all PS3's. Sony needs to fix there shit and stop trying to force us off the PS2 so we have to buy games we already own again through PSN to play on the PS3. They need to get off the Namco business model. Who here has a Non-BC PS3 with a bunch of PS2 games still in their collection?

ACHIEVEMENTS! GET EVERY PERSONA GET 30PTS!

Seriously: No.

As much as I enjoyed Persona 4, adding achievements to that thing would probably destroy me.

What I'm trying to say is this: I have a serious problem.

#27 Posted by iAmJohn (6131 posts) -

The problem is that I don't think that any RPG aside from PSU has nailed how to do achievements in an RPG.  I don't want to have to grind out dumb shit like FIGHTING 1,000,000 BATTLES or FINDING EVERY TREASURE CHEST IN THE GAME.  Key each achievement to beating a boss, and either make them secret or make the descriptions vague enough to not spoil the story.  Problem solved.

That is another point given by vidiot. The achievement points and trophies would just ruin the experience. Can you imagine an intense dramatic moment, you are currently misty eyed and just before the climatic scene.. "bleep blop" ...

Now imagine Final Fantasy 7, you are at the end of disc 2... BLEEP BLOP "Achievement Unlocked: Yo, that bitch is dead"

So a big message telling you to insert the next disc doesn't ruin your experience but achievement points do? I think you can shut those notifications off anyways.

It's one thing to hypothesize and quite another to see it in action, so I present to you all....

I am conflicted.
That's either the coolest thing ever, or you just ruined one of my most memorable gaming sequences of all time.

Is it bad that the first thing I wondered when looking at this screenshot was what point value the achievement would have? :P

Pepsiman: Indiscriminate Slaughterer of Fond Memories Everywhere

I'll take it one step further and actually apply it in the context of Persona 4, since that was originally the driving factor behind it all.

Whoa! A cutscene!? When's that during the game?
#35 Posted by Pepsiman (2488 posts) -

There's a reason I worded the achievement the way I did because if I divulged that information, we'd be getting into hella spoiler territory. It should happen within a couple of weeks on the endurance run, though.

Not true. The first two Shin Megami Tensei games were on the Super Famicom. The first SMT game released in America was the original Persona on PS1, though.

There's already one or two other threads on this if I remember. It doesn't matter what anyone would want to see anyway, it isn't going to happen. Btw, there was never a SMT game on the original Xbox.

Now that is evil..... 200 Points for f*cking up a misty eyed moment. Wait, 200 points would just cheer me up instead. We better make it...... 0 points, continue to cry panty waste. (evil grin)

At Fallen189, I guarantee it has nothing remotely to do with Namatame. It's for one of your own party members in the game.

Shin Megami Tensei Nine is not the ninth game, nor is it online. And your list is missing a bunch of games (unless you're only counting true SMT games, in which case you have too many) and incorrectly labels PS2 games as PSP games.
#48 Posted by GiantDragoon (37 posts) -

It also makes no goddamn sense how it happens.

Nah, the PS2 is so cheap right now that it doesn't bother me it's not on Xbox Live

yeah the two of the SMT: Devil Summoner series was suppose to be ps2 not PSP. I was zombie mode when I posted. thanks for the edit. as for putting up all the SMT games... good luck, you do it. I only put up just one ones duing the PS2 timeline for a previous point. That "all SMT was not put only on the PS2" quote. Just expect the series to be avaiable to reach audience and fans, not as an exclusve to be out of reach.

the SMT 9  Online is the title. The "Online" is part of the name like "FES" for Persona 3 and ./hack as a title that tells you a little about the game. Its a RPG based on a fantasy online reality.

Shin Megami Tensei IX Online
Description
After Tokyo is destroyed by nuclear fire, it is rebuilt in digital form for it's former citizens to enjoy and visit. To sate cravings and other urges, various computer programs allow surfers to engage in their vices and deviant habits. All is well until virus-like programs begin manifesting themselves in virtual Tokyo, which leads to the formation of a task force to keep the malignant code in check. Fast forward to a concert where an obscene spectacle breaks loose and you're given the task of stopping the demonic doings by way of hacking, exploration and fighting.
