A long running series of JRPGs published by Atlus, almost all featuring unrelated stories and characters, but sharing common themes, chief among them being interaction with demons through fighting, diplomacy, control, and cooperation.
I didn't think the voice acting in Devil Survivor was bad at all. Getting stuck in an ending I had no chance of beating on my first play through was a bummer, but the voices were fine.
On the other hand, Sackboy sticking out his tongue and shaking his head around annoys the shit out of me.
I've never played any SMT other than persona 3 and 4 but I have to imagine that you can progress the dialogue before the VO finishes. In persona I'd typically skip to the next dialogue bubble once I finished reading it, rather than listening to all of it.
It's just an option in the menu, right? I don't see why you wouldn't give it a shot and decide for yourself. I don't know why community input would be necessary for this.
Haven't finished the game myself, but what I played of it, the voice acting seemed absolutely fine. The only thing I had trouble getting used to, is that I've heard some of the voice actors before (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Persona 4), but that was probably just because I played it just for a bit... This reminds me, I really should get back to playing it. It's an enjoyable game. :)

@asilentprotagonist: Uh, if you think I need to chill from that post then you completely misinterpreted it. There was no aggressive intentions behind it at all.
