Yeah, when I stayed in Australia, I was pleasantly surprised by all the differences that were there, so it doesn't terribly surprise me that Rowr is getting the same sort of experience. That said, yeah, totally expecting at least a bit of a transitional freak out once I land in Tokyo and learn how to put all of my acquired Japanese skills to good use on a daily basis. I mean, hell, because I'm arriving to my program late, I actually get to figure out the train system first thing, so huzzah.

Very prominent all-female manga group over in Japan. They're the ones behind series like xxxHolic, Tsubasa Chronicles, Cardcaptor Sakura, and a number of others, if you've heard of them. They also did character design work for Code Geass, if you ever watched that. I can't say I'm always a fan of all their stories, but overall they do really good work even just aesthetically.

It's basically a gig where I take summer classes in Tokyo for college credit. Naturally, part of the attraction is that I get to actually use what I learned from class in a practical setting, but the courses cover a variety of topics. In addition to the language course, I personally signed up for a politics course since I'm woefully ignorant in that arena when it comes to Japan. Beyond that, though, there's naturally cultural stuff and whatnot to take in, too. I'm going to attempt to just explore Tokyo as much as I can in my free time, though. Too many nooks and crannies to just ignore, gaming-related or otherwise.

I need to get around to just buying a copy of The World Ends with You. I enjoyed what I played through when I rented it, but I didn't give it nearly enough time. As for Phantom Hourglass, I'm personally indifferent towards it. That might just be me being burned out on the Zelda formula after Twilight Princess, though. I will say that the multiplayer is strangely fun once you actually figure out what to do, though.

The world ends with you is now officially my favourite DS game ever, phantom hourglass, i should buy that game.... Dont know if i have zelda love still in me tho, its been a while since i played a zelda game.

Bangai-O Spirits is a really fun game in short bursts. It takes a little while to get accustomed to the controls and to figure out what weapons to equip yourself with so you don't get your ass kicked in 10 seconds, but after that it's really fun. Plus, the game pretty much gives you a menu option allowing you to turn on invincibility, which is handy when you're still trying to figure out the basics. I say go for it.

I love treasure, and i'm loving my DS right now, thinking of bangai-o spirits. What do you think?

Between you and jeff and vinnie's willingness to play it at work i went out of my way to try and get it. I'm afraid that i have too many games to play at the moment that are really long. Persona 4, Dragonquest IV, Dragonquest V, World ends with You, Chrono Trigger, and i'm almost done playing through the psn download of silent hill 1.

Until now i've gone through a phase where i havent really been patient enough to get into JRPG's lately. I was super into them in the past but in recent years i sorta wasnt down with playing them. But, persona 4 is really engaging me, as is "the world ends with you" so, hopefully this means i'm up for more rpg romps in the future. Hell, there are a ton of them on the DS

Finally getting around to replying. ^^'' Except for Nocturne, I have pretty much no experience with SMT games besides the Persona ones at all. That said, it might not have hurt to buy it. I'm guessing it might have been a reprint since some SMT games have gotten that treatment for the past year or so, but from a collector standpoint, those games don't show up in the wild very often anyway.

Saw SMT Digital Devil Saga 2, really cheap at the store brand new today, but i didnt buy it, should i have, Y/N?

Yeah, BlazBlue is shaping up to be the HD 2D fighter I've really been looking for. The other ones like KOFXII look really good, too, but BlazBlue being made by ArkSys tells me that the game will just ooze with personality, which I like in my fighters quite a bit. As for Persona 4, that unfortunately doesn't surprise me. You may have to resort to buying it online if you want a copy anytime soon, since those games have a tendency to disappear from shelves for months at a time. And you're free to continue the chat via PM if you don't wanna flood the place.

Well, it hands down looks amazing, even better than king of fighters XII (which i also want). Persona 4 is out in australia now according to the EB Games australia website, but when i went to the store the other day they had no copies. I was pretty bummed out. However the game is debuting at half the normal price of a full priced game here. So thats great! Was gonna type something else but i dont want to flood your wall lol

I'll end up getting a PS3 sooner or later, but yeah, should it somehow not get localized, I'd still totally import it anyway for one of the two. I think it's been made apparent that I rather like the Guilty Gear games, so I'll happily support the successor to that series, especially since I've wanted an HD sprite fighter to get excited over.

I was going to say that even if those ports didnt come state side you could import it for ps3 which is region free, but then i realised you havent got one :(, occasionally 360 games are region free! kinda.... Either way, it'd suck if it didnt. I want that game alot.

Yeah, Persona 4's dungeons are, very thankfully, much more varied and that feature ties into the story nicely as well. It's that and a lot of other reasons which make like that game way more than 3, and I played quite a bit of that one, too. But yeah, they are definitely something special, to say the least.

I played persona 3 but being in the same dungeon all the time kinda got to me. I hear 4 is alot more varied so that seems hella cool. I love how cultured the game is too. The persona games might very well be the best modern day jrpg's.

I aim to make a cult of the game, after all. Or something. Maybe I'm just that damn obsessed with it.

I honestly don't know what the hell to make of Teddie. He hits on the girls in the party quite a bit throughout the game, but at the same time he's also rather flamboyant, so I really don't know. Maybe bisexual? I think all we can say is that Teddie is god damned Teddie for certain.

In the main storyline, the first Persona you get is Izanagi, which is a reference to a very major god of the same name involved in Japanese world creation tales. "no Okami" is basically a souped up version of that Persona and literally indicates his godly status when translated.

I don't have a PS3 at the moment, but yeah, I've definitely had my eye on Valkyria Chronicles. I'll probably get it whenever I nab a PS3 as well, assuming the game doesn't become some absurd collectors' item and have a high price attached to it because of the low sales. But yeah, definitely plan on checking it out sometime in the future.

If you had a ps3 i'd recomend valkyria chronicles, its a strategy rpg too but its set out a bit better as far as thats concerned.

Yeah, I can see why people would like the games, but it's personally too much info for me to process. I like to strategize without getting a bloody migraine over it, so I'll stick to the simpler stuff and be a happy lass.

Strategy rpg's are like a 3 hour tutorial where you think youve left the tutorial but then another battle will come up where they teach you a bunch of new mechanics.... soooo yeah i get that. Disgaea 3 was like that for me on ps3 :s
