    This game is available on GOG.com for $2.99... is it worth it? Is this game still good? I'm kinda thinking of just getting it because it's so cheap but yeah, someone justify it to me please

    @Jothel: It's not the greatest looking game now, even then it was pretty icky. That aside, I think it's one of the best strategy games ever made because of the atmosphere, story and gameplay. It still plays well since the interface is very well designed (right-mouse for a context menu) and the various factions give it a lot of replayablity not to mention that the game itself is very flexible when it comes to managing your empire. The core game is fine in itself but if you can pick up the expansion pack, Alien Crossfire, for cheap you should get that too.
