Either their intern or some ass whole who thinks he is really funny and had to beg and beg for the job. Cid obviously had better things to do with his time then care about the achievements.

Well there is 120 of them. Some crud will seep in if they want that many achievement in a civ game.

Well, that's a little tasteless. Still, I've never played a Civilization game before. I like the look of Civilization V though. Might consider getting it actually.

Not sure why Civ needed achievements in the first place.  It's not like there's ever been any trouble getting people to spend massive amounts of time playing the game.

I appreciated "The World is a Mess and I Just Need to Rule It".

Achievements are serious and tastefull things.

Nothing says civilization like 4chan memes.

Since when did people take achievements so seriously. I wish more games did the crap Civ V is doing with their achievements. When I got the My Little Pony achievement I couldn't stop laughing for 10 minutes, it was such a harsh contrast to the semi-serious nature of the game that I greatly welcomed it and all the other ones I've been getting.

Dr. Horrible reference is awesome.

Overall the achievement names for this game look pretty good but while I can appreciate this one as a slightly obscure historical reference it's in very poor taste. This is also the third game to feature an achievement called 'I'm On A Boat' (but don't get me wrong, I like me some Lonely Island) and 'I Can Has Nukes' feels like a very outdated reference.
