    Definitely Silent Hill 2 for me, although I have not played origins yet.

    I actually agree with you completely.  I was probably more freaked out playing the first one, but I played a lot more of the second.  I thought it was an excellent game and one of my favorite games on the PS2.  My least favorite was "The Room".

    I have to say 3 was probably my favorite just because it was more of a continuation from 1.  Plus it is always nice to have a strong female character.
