Really wish Too Human could have got a sequel. There were enough cool parts about it that I think 2 Human would have been a really good game.

Silicon Knights Ordered to Destroy All Unsold Materials Using Unreal Engine 3
All that has happened to this man/that company is karmic payback for not putting out eternal darkness 2. Jerks.
Too Human is really a damn shame. It's a really good game with a fascinating storyline and fun co-op as well. It's just that the goddamn Valkyries are so fucking slow.
@GERALTITUDE: Supposedly Silicon Knights consists of less than 5 people now, at least according to that Kotaku story from a little while back. If that's true they were already dead in everything but name, and very few people will be hurt by this new predicament. Of course that doesn't make it any better that they already got screwed over by the terrible mistakes of their boss.
Everyone should read that story if they haven't yet (http://kotaku.com/5955223/what-went-wrong-with-silicon-knights-x+men-destiny). Even if you're someone who hates Kotaku or Gawker in general it's a really interesting story.

If you read the kotaku piece, linked all over this page, you'll see that that's all he wanted to do, and didn't mind defrauding publishers out of money to finance it. He's lucky Microsoft and Activision haven't raped him out of a few more million dollars.
@Barrabas Yeah I saw that fact popping up in the forum. While it may be true that SK is only five people now, it doesn't mean that all those people who used to be at SK aren't bummed about their work vanishing. I imagine people who used to work there now also can't use any unfinished assets in their portfolios either when looking for work (unless they grabbed copies earlier?). I'm just bummed I guess. Reading that story now!

Too Human should get a sequel! That game had a ton of little design flaws that could easily be fixed in a second game.
I can agree with this but I want it outsourced to someone else. Let SK hand over a broad design and some concepts, and let someone else execute it without Denis being allowed to publicly talk about or overseee it. Same goes for an Eterenal Darkness sequel.
@Barrabas & everyone else: Yeah. Article is really worth reading. Sad, very very sad. Just sounds like an all too common, atypical ego syndrome.
Can they destroy their awful logo along with the games? Seriously, I hate their logo. It's a terrible logo, the worst! I mean, I've seen bad logos before, but for some reason the Silicon Knights logo just draws out the hate in me!
I'd feel bad for Silicon Knights if everyone with a head on their shoulders didn't jump ship leaving it just Denis, his wife, and like three other people.
That fucking blows. For everyone involved. You know Dy-man is mad bummed about this, I have to have sympathy for him. You could tell that guy just wanted to make cool games.
they got what was coming to them, lets hope anyone cool has left Silicon Knights a long time ago, wouldnt like it if anyone cool actually suffered because of complete idiots, but then again that is one of the biggest parts of living a life, being screwed by idiots. I'm happy that the idiot got screwed this time :D

Read the Kotaku article. That idiot is solely responsible for the downfall of his studio.
I pre-ordered Too Human, and have never had a single regret about it. I played it through a couple times with a couple different people and it was as enjoyable the last as it was the first. Destiny wasn't good though. The combat was passable, but everything else about that game was just bad. And for some reason it's still 60 bucks at the stores....
The first five minutes of this pretty much sums up Dyack:
I'm a little curious about the magnitude of this though? Does every store in the world that still has a sealed copy of either game have to send it back? Should I be getting on eBay while I still can!?
Fucking loved Too Human, and damn I'm still pissed that the trilogy, nor any DLC was made. But this is all on Dyack. He's a horses behind, and even though that judgement seems rediculous to me, he just brought all this on himself and his company. The weird thing is maybe this causes some sort of resurgence of people revisiting, or finally playing Too Human. It had some flaws and annoyances true, but man the gameplay, and specifically the end game was just glorious if you were willing to put in the time.
none of this would have happened if Silicon Knights tried to make good games instead of trying to shift the blame on to Epic...
Too Human was awful, as was X-Men. This is better for the world, at least in that case, to have them destroyed.
Sucks for Silicon Knights, though. I thought they were a good developer, they just got misguided as of late. I really want Eternal Darkness 2, man!

It's actually written by a freelance writer. So, Kotaku in general is still shit except for that once in a blue moon someone from outside of Kotaku decides to write something for them.
That's an overkill. Why they have to destroy all the copies by themseleves ? Who want's Silicon Knights go bankrupt so badly ? On the other hand SK didn't made a good game since 2008.

I'd buy Too Human 2
2 Human?
Also, will Silicon Knights be able to take a blow this heavy and survive, or is it shutters for them?

The only stuff worth reading at Kotaku is only written by Kirk Hamilton.

I don't know if I really want a sequel to Eternal Darkenss. Part of me feels like we have such a high view of the first game that a sequel done with today's tech would cause a lot of gamers to complain. Don't think that I wouldn't love to see them try and make a sequel, I just don't know if it would be right.
Man, that Kotaku story is the saddest fucking thing I've ever read.
At least the Eternal Darkness sequel got canned, so SK didn't screw it up like they totally would have.

Yeah, maybe. I was thinking more spiritual successor, to be honest.
I bought Too Human when it came out, never touched it. Still sealed. May turn out to be a good move haha.
Too Human got more flack than it deserved. The game had its flaws (like all games), but I actually enjoyed it a lot. Glad I still have my copy...
man, life isn't too great over at Silicon Knights these days. Ouch. I remember when I got my Gamecube back in the day and preordered Eternal Darkness. Couldn't wait to play that game and I wasn't dissapointed. It was at that point that I felt that Silicon Knights must be destined for greatness. Well... I watched and waited for their next big thing and here we are 10 years later and I'm still waiting. Something tells me most if not all the people (besides Denis) that were involved with Eternal Darkness are long gone.
