This preview has the first footage I've been able to find of Sine Mora's most challenging mode, in which you have to deal with a difficulty-modifying rank system and enemies that release suicide bullets.

The Arcade Insane segment starts at 5:00 and lasts for about a minute. Looks pretty good. Not what I'd call "insane" (as far as survival is concerned, at least) but the ranks remains low for most of the segment and if the in-video description is correct the footage is from the very first level, so it'll probably get far more challenging.

Also, fuck me those suicide bullets are annoying. The way they twirl as they move forward irritates me to no end.

This game looks really good. Nice to see some people making these games for less hardcore people. I like these games and try to import them when they are region free but I am terrible at them.

That looked really easy. The fun part of these games is how hard they get, so I have to see some later levels on insane before I consider buying this game.

    "Normal vs. Insane Gameplay Comparison":

The twirling suicide bullets still look annoying as fuck. Combine that with fact that the screen seems to shake every time an enemy is blown up, and it seems like Insane has the potential to be incredibly frustrating. (Also, lol at "rebooting the genre".)

I'd play that if it were vertical but for some weird reason I become mentally retarded when I play a horizontal shmup. There's something about that perspective that I just can't process where the bullets are coming from.

Probably because left/right symmetry is easier to comprehend then up/down, because of the way our eyes are set in our head. Maybe you can rotate your monitor :)
