Atomic Games' third-person shooter, based on one of the deadliest battles in the Iraq War, was dropped by Konami in 2009. Over a decade later, the game was picked up by Highwire Games for release in 2021.
As a former Army soldier and a current spouse of an Army Medic who is deployed to Iraq right now, I respectfully disagree with the lady quoted in the article. I think in that situation it is hard to separate your feelings from your opinion. I have lost friends and a family member to our dual war zones. I still have no problem with this game, because to me, intent is important. Their intentions seem pure, that is enough for me right now.
Yah, istead of fighting a make-believe battle this game takes place in Irag.
That's real war!
That guy insults the soldiers by that statement. He's fucking saying WWII games are make believe battles? I have the mind to shove a shovel up his butthole! He's insulting the soldiers more than this game! (That isn't even insulting the soldiers in the first place.)
