Skullgirls is a 2D fighting game that puts players in control of fierce warriors in an extraordinary world. Originally slated for a 2011 release but was delayed to 2012, it was developed by Reverge Labs, published by Autumn Games and distributed by Konami while becoming under new development by Lab Zero Games in early 2013.

Girls just wanna have fun (and kick your ass) 0

I should preface this review by saying I'm not a fighting "aficionado" and not even in the least bit skilled so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt. Because Skullgirls seems like a game designed by a tournament fighter (which it is) but mainly for hardcore fighting fans. Now this is an indie game so it wouldn't have the huge budget of Capcom releases or the frequent entries of SNK with King of Fighters but in many ways, Skullgirls feels like it wants to and usually will leave a great...

The gentlemen's club 0

I found the target audience for Skullgirls in a basement facility near a video game shoppe in downtown Toronto. This gentlemen’s club was sort of a modern day arcade, where tournament-caliber fighting game fans can ply their craft at the expense of people who wanted to be tournament-caliber fighting game fans. I’ve said it once already in another review, but I am going to say it again: 2012 is going to be flooded with great fighting games. We’ve had SoulCalibur V, Street Fighter x Tekken and not to forget the brilliant ports that the Vita received at its launch.
