    Skylanders SWAP Force

    Does the new portal that comes with Swap Force works on the 2 previous Skylanders games?

    It doesn't on the PS3 version AFAIK. The PS3 one specifically is looking for the bluetooth portal.

    The X360 one works on Skylanders Giants, at least -- and since those two games used the same Portal, I'd presume that it would work on Spyro's Adventure.

    In fact, I found that the Swap Force portal worked better with Giants than the original portal. I often had to put some of the Giants on their side, or even roll them around, in order to find the magic position that would get them to read on the original portal. The Swap Force portal has no such problems.
