Grey vs White Icons on Collectables Map

Anyone know the difference between the grey icons and white icons on the collectables map? I assumed it was collected vs not-collected.. but so far the game is proving me wrong..

Yes. That is the difference. I just 1000/1000 Sleeping Dogs last week and sometimes it was hard to tell the difference unless there was a contrasting icon next to it.

Yeah, it's totally collected/not collected. I can't exactly remember which one is which, though.

Grey means uncollected and White means collected
