    Sleeping Dogs Review

    Early on in this game you realize it is not just a copycat of Grand Theft Auto. It has an intriguing story line, excellent gameplay, and an amazing open world environment. I really couldn't stop playing it after I started.

    Although the story was awesome, I spent a lot of time running around stealing cars, getting in high speed chases with cops, and busting drug deals. The environment was the most amazing part about the game, all the combat skills you learn during the game are used any time you fight and nothing is more fun than high speed chases.

    Now I just hope there is a sequel.

      It is safe to say that Sleeping Dogs has had a difficult journey up to it's release. The open-world crime game originally began development in 2008 as part of Activision's True Crime series. It was subsequently canceled 3 years into development, and it seemed that the game would never make it to store shelves. Then in August 2011, publisher Square Enix announced that they would be picking up the title under the new name Sleeping Dogs, scheduled for release in 2012. So now the game is out, which ...

      Even before Activision dropped it, it was hard to imagine that Sleeping Dogs -- a game once set to be a reboot of the True Crime series -- would actually be good. The series itself is perhaps best known for trying (and failing) to capture the lightning in a bottle that is Rockstar's open-world juggernaut Grand Theft Auto series.
