Poll Sniper Elite III is more like expansion for Sniper Elite v2 than new game. (39 votes)

    Yes, true 15%
    No, false 64%
    50/50 but... 21%

So I have feeling that SE III is like new mission/textures pack for v2 than new game. Yes it have some new things but doesnt make anything fresh-like as for eg SE v2 after SE I.

That's not really a fair comparison. Of course V2 was going to be a drastic upgrade from SE 1, it came out seven years later and on a new platform. Sniper Elite III only came out a couple years after V2, and plays on the same platforms (I imagine the PS4 and XB1 versions are basically high res ports).

Going by that argument, then 80% of video game sequels are really expansions, and not sequels.

Also Sniper Elite 3 is actually a pretty big change from V2 simply by the more open free roam. However like you says Moosey his argument is so very blanketed it fits all games.

I do think that the missions and setting feel a bit undercooked, but it's definitely not just an expansion.

I've been playing V2, actually. It's partially a curiosity, and it's partially because it's much cheaper than III at the moment. I kind of wanted to know how I would feel about a game that sort of specializes in sniping. But from what I've seen of the videos of III and what I've played of this, I can say that there is significant differences. Obviously not the kind of differences you'd expect from seven years of technological advances, but probably what you'd expect from two. III looks a lot more action friendly, the graphics are a step up, it seems more open, and it lets you do some weapon customization (that is either not in V2, or I haven't seen it yet). More than an expansion, but not a reinvention.

Since titles of polls can't be edited, I'm just going to close this. Very misleading.

    Also, no.
