Snuff is smokeless tobacco (typically chewed) that requires the chewer to spit copious amounts of black, viscous saliva.

 Snuff is popular in the south and amongst baseball players. Users spit often, and may carry around "snuff cups" to spit into. Snuff use may lead to mouth cancer.
