Surprisingly. I mean, obviously I haven't played it yet, but from what I've seen in the IGN demo, it seems fun. Sure they slowed down Sonic, which is kind of like admitting that there's something inherently wrong with your character when it comes to gameplay, but hey, they needed to change something in order to bring this franchise back. It looks like a mix of Super Mario Galaxy, the old Sonic Adventure games, and multiple path games. Trust me, I didn't think I'd be saying this, but this is appealing to me more than SMG.

Not a slight on the game itself, but I think I'd be puking after a few minutes of those cylindrical levels.

Maybe...Sonic's becoming good again? Maybe in the not so distant future, I can hear that a new Sonic game is coming out and go "cool"?

The 3DS one is looking pretty ok too.

This is a step in the right direction to getting me to buy a Wii U. Not quite there but I'm really impressed with what I've seen. I really enjoyed Sonic Colors and Generations.

Colors and Generations were pretty dope. Sonic being good again isn't anything new, it's just people are so stuck on the SONIC HAR HAR train that they refuse to even give it a shot. This game looks like a good evolution for the series, and addresses a lot of what's been wrong with the games for the past decade. I'm definitely interested.

This looks like a lot of fun, I haven't played a Sonic game since Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the Gamecube. This just jumped up to my most anticipated WiiU game.

Awesome. I hear that the past few sonic games were pretty good and I love the Mario Galaxy style to this game. I really want a Wii U now...

The only Sonic game I ever played was Generations and I thought it was pretty awesome. So if I buy a WiiU I'll probably pick this up too. 3DS version actually doesn't look too bad too

The 3DS version is being made by Dimps, so we already know it's not good.

This is looking pretty good, maybe I'll have to pick up a WiiU after all.

The visual design is really nice and it looks like it might actually be fun to play. I never thought I'd say either of those things about a Sonic game.

@wintersnowblind: Aghhh don't tell me that! Colours was fine, but that 3DS Generations was really annoying.

I don't understand why Sega keep letting them make Sonic games. Sonic 4 Part 2 was a bizarre jump backwards after Colours/Generations. They're very clearly trying something a little new here and it would be cool if the 3DS version turned out good seeing as it's probably going to be the best selling version if Wii U sales don't pick up.

I'm like 4 minutes in and it already looks pretty cool.

Is this the first time they have had a run/walk toggle? Seems like a no brainer that would have made many a 3D Sonic games a lot better.

I've always wanted to believe in Sonic in a post-Sega Genesis world... now I can finally believe again.
