Sonic WildFire wasn't that bad. I actually liked the concept a lot. I think that Sonic is just doing better on the Wii/DS then any other consoles.
I think that Sega just needs to release a new 2D sonic game on XBLA/PSN like Nintendo is doing with Wario World. Making a classic game, usually built for old systems or handhelds and upping the resolution and length of the game like crazy.

I don't know if I can take another Sonic game - I mean back in the mid-1990s he was the reason that I flunked out of college (I'm almost finished with Paralegal Studies now with a 3.9 GPA). You wouldn't believe how happy I was to purchase a used copy of Sonic CD for $35.00 USD or finally own all of the Sonic the Hedgehog cartridges for Genesis. I even remember finally tracking down a 32X to play Knuckles Chaotix but not finding the game and being CRUSHED.
Now whenever I hear about a new Sonic game being developed my first impulse is to cringe at the thought. The Game Boy Advance Sonic games were only half-decent (just hold right and jump occasionally) but the addition of needless gimmicks in the console Sonic games after 2001 has turned old-school Sonic fans away. I was hoping that Sonic Unleashed would break the mediocrity streak, but fighting as a hulking hedgehog by night? Oooookkkkaayyyyyy...

Is it just me or are developers using the Wii as a dumping ground for all their absolutely insane franchise spin-offs? First the Castlevania fighting, I'm sorry not fighting, 3d action versus game, now, Sonic's waggle-tastic midieval romp. What's next, a Wii-exclusive Metal Gear mini-game compilation?

look grady, The possible fact is that Shadow The Hedgehog is what caused SEGA to uprise. The only thing that the F****ed up on was "Sonic Mega Collection". I mean, they should have not brought back sonic by reliving the sucky graphics and pixel art animation. And, the other thing the screwed up on was "Sonic Unleashed". Listen fans, you might think its the best action/ adventure game ever. But for the truth, Its storyline, and cause and effect motion was all downhill for when sonic actually went into space (without a space suit, nor any tails the fox helping him in the beggining.) Then he turns into a werehog, from all his "supersonicness" powers being drained. And when the F**** did dark giaia come in?! What happend to Chaos?! And i thought eggman was taking over the world, NOT BLOW IT THE F**** UP!!!
