    Soulless Crap, more like. 0

Who is this game for?  I wondered this the entire time I played it.  The game feels like it wants to be both accessible to newcomers, while simultaneously trying to be up there in the ranks of games like Street Fighter or Tekken.  This game doesn't come close to either. The story is rubbish.  Story mode greets you with a freaking brick wall of text full of writing that's terribly written, but not bad enough to be charming (like Samurai Shodown, for example).  I don't think anyone out there cares ...

The Legend Will Never Die 0

Some would say that the Soul Calibur series has been on a downward spiral since the first game on the Dreamcast in 1999. It already established itself as a premier fighter among the competition with its deep weapon-based combat, beautiful graphics, eight way runs, and cater to both the hardcore and the casual gamer. While the sequels, Soul Calibur II and III, had commercial success, there was some disappointment among fans about some of the decisions Namco has made with the franchise during thos...

Soul Calibur Lives to Fight Another Day 0

When I was younger my friend left his copy of Soul Calibur 2 in my house when he moved away so i was happy to have gotten a free game so i started playing and to my surprise five hours had passed since i had started playing. this is the magic that the Soul Calibur series has always had over me and Soul Calibur 4 is no exception. when i first booted it up i do what i always do and explore the options and then unlocked all of the characters which is very very easy this time around, all you have to...

I Like it, love it, or somewhere inbetween. 0

I like Soul Caliber 4. Not all of the charectors have giant tits... My favorite charector, Talim, has maybe an A cup. I agree that Yoda and Vadar are lame... I don't use them, problem solved. Everyone says... "It's not as good as the first one"... When was the last time you played it? Soul Edge has problems that are just not acceptable by today's video game standards (AI gone stupid, for example). Plus, effects have gotten way better over the years... Visually, Soul Edge... is boring now. We all...

    Soulcalibur IV Review 0

First off, let me say that i've been a HUGE fan of the Soul games ever since Soul Blade came out on PSone.  I have played them all for a ridiculous amount of time.  So that may sway my review right there.  There's just something about this series that keeps me coming back.  When I heard about online play I was naturally ecstatic.  The gameplay here is phenomenal as always.  If you've played a SC game before, then you know what to expect.  The addition of Critical Finishers and Armor Breaking is ...

Soul Caliber IV ? Is fun... 0

I went into this game thinking that it would be another Soul Caliber fighting game. The game is very...revealing for a lack of a better term. Yes Ivy and Taki have very large breasts, but that is one of the few downsides for me. The biggest disappointment for me is Yoda. Yoda is really unfair, and doesn't seem to fit right. Overall a decent game. 3 1/2....

    It’s SoulCalibur just without a Soul... 0

I remember playing the old SoulCalibur games religiously; I was hooked on the first one (it was one of the only games I had on my Dreamcast at the time) and that led me into buying the second on the day it came out. After that SoulCalibur III was a huge disappointment to me for many reasons, not limited to the game breaking bug that wiped your save progress. It was poorly balanced and had lost nearly everything that had made the previous SoulCalibur games so great. With that in mind, the announc...

If you have the choice, get the PS3 version. 1

When the first Soul Calibur debuted in arcades it blew everyone's minds. It has most definitely aged gracefully (I'm STILL blown away at how good the game looked compared to all other games on the scene at the time), and the game play is so refined and balanced that it can still be gone back to and played today without a hitch, even after having gotten used to the latest incarnation.  That's a whole lot more to say about Soul Calibur to which most other first-in-series games can even come close...

Alright you bleeding f'ing bum wart, check this out, yeh? soul-C it well mexico! A lot going on about it being belgium yeh? But it's well dense! yeh?.... Well lets get real, it's not quite!  and continuing on the path of honesty I'm not quite the reiewer my introductory lines might have suggested, fortunitly. Just another grumpy Scot sitting about drinking irn-bru and eating chips ( oh and for the record irn-bru = bubblegum falvour, madness!).  I've always fantasised about writing my own reviews...

Almost everything you would want.....and boobs! 0

Soul Calibur 4 gets off on all the right feet and does a damn good job of bringing the fighter genre into the current generation of consoles.Graphically it is easily the best game out there. From effects to animations SC 4 excels in big ways as you would expect from the franchise. Every character in the game shows off amazing attention to detail and a fluid animation system that brings it all to life. If you want proof look at the hairs on Yoda's head, LOOK AT THEM!! Once you wrap that all up wi...

    I agree with Jeff 0

I have played every soulblade/soulcaliber game to date and have been rarely let down but its just a bit strange i want to enjoy this game just beacuse ive been playing the soul games since i was a todler but really it fails and wins on so many aspects for instance online play Great who dosent love online fights with your customised characters but just that good feature is counteracted with an equally bad addition to the game like weak new character additions like Yoda?(the mind of capcom "MONEY!...

    Soul Calibur Episode IV 0

Yes, that's a Star Wars reference. If you buy the game, expect to see more. The Star Wars character promoted above the title on the box is in the opening FMV, in the concept art and comes with another Star Wars character, who in turn comes with a promotional video for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. But do they really impact the game? No. The only way you'll fight Yoda in single player is if you fight with the Apprentice(the aforementioned Star Wars character) and the apprentice himself only mak...

    Soul Calibur IV Review 0

The best weapon-based fighting has returned with a new entry into the series, Soulcalibur IV. While not much has changed with Soulcalibur IV, that’s not a bad thing at all, and will please series fans. The visuals have been vastly improved, the fighting remains much the same, and the modes you’d expect from a Soulcalibur game return to make this a great package that’s very easy to recommend. Soulcalibur IV has been made accessible for anyone to pick up and play, while maintaining enough depth fo...
