Well, sort of. Concept art has been revealed at Siliconera (see here) that Algol and Edge Master will be returning. As for Devil Jin, not the character himself, but his "style" will reportedly be available in the character creation, as Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada's likeness has been put in game as a fightable NPC outside of the story mode. Also you have to beat Harada in some offline mode to unlock that style and an achievement from what I've heard.

Personally, I think Edge Master is alright (have to have an all-random character), but Algol was one of the lamest fighting game bosses out there. I can't think of anyone who actually wanted him back, but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't often do sarcasm these days, but Algol was such a good character.

I didn't think he was an interesting last boss, nor did I like playing as him. But I won't mind his inclusion if they've done something interesting with him story-wise.

What've they had him doing for the past 17 years, I wonder?

I like random characters, so it'll be fun to have Edge Master back. What has he been doing all this time, and why does he like exactly the same? The explanation had better be the dumbest thing ever.

I'm not even sure why I'm looking forward to Soul Calibur V- I mean, I don't really care for the characters, but I do remember SCIV being hella fun once I got good at beating fucking Kilik players.

Also, why on Earth would they bring Algol back? He's an awful character in every conceivable way. Edge Master is pretty cool though, he was easily the best of the copy-cat characters.

Edge master looks ok, but yeh, fuck Algol.

i like algol. algol is a satisfying boss because he is unique and full of personality and characterism unlike fire spirit boss in 2 where it is random fighting style from sc warriors. hate that kind of boss where the boss dont have its own style.

algol is cool boss. glad he apears in sc5 cuz wicked looking characters are best! got tons of happy carebears chars already. sc5 new boss better be unique and own fighting style.
