SCV, good to go.

#10 Posted by MechaEspio (38 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

Err, maybe they should've taken another crack at that spoken line. I mean it was dubbed, sure, but maybe they could try to make the line fit the lip movements. Make it somewhat close.

When I saw the title I thought Starcraft. Goddamnit.

#12 Posted by I_smell (3843 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

It's not just you. That was pretty lame.

Neat, I guess. I dunno, SCIV was decent, but it just didn't feel right after playing SCII for so many years.

SCV reportin' for duty!

#22 Posted by Koobz (363 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

Let's just cut to three trailers from now when it's revealed that the newest iteration of Ivy has car-sized breasts and is completely topless.  Also Voldo's codpiece is the size of a watermelon and has jiggle physics now.

#23 Posted by sensory (47 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

Appreciate the thought.. but no thanks.

#24 Posted by mewarmo990 (785 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

I'm still attached to SCII as 3 and 4 didn't really catch my fancy. Hopefully this one will be better.

And for chrissakes, scale down Ivy's boobs!

Yes, and his alternate costume features a flaming codpiece.

Not expecting a lot from this game, never really found Soul Calibur  to be any good competitively.

#27 Posted by BUCK3TM4N (549 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

my favorite 3d fighter but the best is still SC2

#28 Posted by lazyb (50 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

crap trailer

#29 Posted by Xpgamer7 (2259 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

That trailer tried to be stylish and came off broken.

HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!
#33 Edited by spiralsin (91 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

Ugh, same bad narrator voice as in the previous game.

Not terribly excited about this unless they bring something new to the genre. Not just SC IV with different characters...

#34 Posted by Yummylee (18164 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

That was hilariously terrible lip syncing.

#35 Posted by BetaMax (115 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

that  trailer was horse shit.  thats namco's A game at this point.

#36 Posted by pickassoreborn (489 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

Hopefully this will be as good as SC2 was.

#40 Posted by grbear (58 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

I pity the artist working on the Ivy model for this. Afterall what is 17 years of sag going to look like and how depressing would that be to spend your time researching and modeling?
The continued revival of the fighting game is pretty damn awesome though. I never really put a lot of time into any one game but it's a genre I've always enjoyed dipping my toe in.

That tagline has been a part of Soul Calibur since forever, man.

The only thing I got out of that was some truly dodgy lipsyncing.

And it's not even philosophical. Poetic, maybe...

I can't wait to find alongside the likes of Siegfried and Marcus Fenix and Dante and Littlefoot.

#47 Edited by EuanDewar (4028 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

I think Soul Calibur 4 was the point in gaming as a whole where I started to notice weird female character models. I don't think in 2012 you can have Ivy looking like she did in SC4 but hey, thats just me.

#48 Posted by Rio (585 posts) - 2 years, 13 days ago

I keep hoping for SC to return to the greatness that the series had with 1 and 2.  I will continue to follow this game to see how it turns out. *crosses fingers*

I can't believe they're still using that announcer. Also, really like the subtitle for this video.
