    Souls as Currency

    Concept »

In some video games, souls are used as the unit of currency for in game purchases and upgrades. Turns out that the worth of a person's soul is about 1/500th of that sweet new sword.

    Short summary describing this concept.

Souls are used in some games as a unit of currency. Usually they are collected from defeated enemies, chests, or breakable items in the environment. They are then usually traded at an in game store for character or weapon upgrades, consumable objects, or other items.

Currency souls are not to be confused with Red Orbs.
