You probably already knew that Space Invaders Extreme was coming to Xbox Live Arcade this week. If you didn't, you should probably go check out the Quick Look we ran last week. That 800-pointer will be joined by two more. Arkanoid Live! is another updated version of an old Taito game, and Zombie Wranglers from Frozen Codebase is a behind-the-back shooter where kids shoot and wrangle zombies.

Over on the Wii, eight dollars will get you a game called Penguin & Friends - Hey! That's My Fish!, which is a great name. The Virtual Console is getting a Commodore 64 game called Tower Toppler. The DSi gets a double dose of two dollar Animal Crossing non-games, Animal Crossing Calculator and Animal Crossing Clock. Now you can have Tom Nook give you cold, steely stares while you add and subtract! Great?

Sony announces its stuff later in the week, so we don't know exactly what'll hit PSN on Thursday yet.

I will download the trial at least for Space Invaders, but I have the DS game already. And that Animal Crossing "game" sounds.......fun.

Whoa, Animal Crossing Calculator and Animal Crossing Clock? And I thought those piecemeal Master of Illusions games were horrible ideas. I might wind up buying Space Invaders (thanks to the Quick Look, and because it looks amazing).

Also: You four better talk about Penguin & Friends - Hey! That's My Fish! on the Bombcast.

Hey! That's My Fish! is a fun boardgame, I hope it is implemented well on the Wii.

I would totally compulsively buy the AC stuff if I had a DSi. Yup.

Space Invaders Extreme: Hell yes!
Penguin & Friends: What the hell is this?
Animal Crossing Calculator and Clock: What the hell were they thinking?!

If only all games were for download then that's one more thing I never have to leave the house for.

Space Invaders Extreme looks great, this is a pretty cool week overall download-wise.

Knowing Tom Nook, the calculator is probably a scam.

Um... A calculator? And doesn't the DSi have a clock already?

A calculator.....Nice to see Nintendo is pulling out all the stops for the DSi!

Seriously considering getting Space Invaders Extreme, loved playing it on PSP.

Nice to see Nintendo doing the best they can to provide Wii/DSi owners with top quality games, Calculators are always a blast!

Initially they were thinking "this is the kind of crap we can make cheaply and crazy Japanese dudes will buy" Then they started thinking "Well, we've already got them made, we might as well release them in the west and see if we can sucker anyone else into buying this crap"
