    Character 

    Sparkles is a wizard, and DeathSpank's helpful sidekick. He dons a brilliant purple wizard robe, complete with hat, large glasses, magic wand, and white tennis shoes. Sparkles will cast and heal his way along side DeathSpank for as long as a second player is willing to join you.

    Mechanics 

    Sparkles is an asymmetrical co-op support character. A second player is able to jump in and out at will to join in the action. To allow for this casual nature, Sparkles will grow more powerful automatically when DeathSpank does. 
     
    When Sparkles joins in, both he and DeathSpank begin to share the same health bar. Because of this, Sparkles, while providing valuable support, creates a weak point for DeathSpank. Sparkles as a relatively weak character, defensively speaking, would do well to stay out of the fray and allow DeathSpank to take all the hard hits.
