    Notes

    • Spheal first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. Spheal can be found in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald within Shoal Cave, in Pokémon Pearl while surfing on Route 226 and Route 230, and can also be obtained in  Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness by snagging it from Cipher Peon Blusix in Cipher Lab. Spheal’s middle form Sealeo can be obtained in Pokémon Pearl while surfing on Route 226 and Route 230, and in Pokémon Platinum surfing on Route 230.
    • Having an Ice and Water type combination leaves Spheal at a disadvantage against Grass, Electric, Rock, and Fighting type moves by taking twice the damage the moves normally cause. It also allows them to take only half the damage from Water type moves and only a puny quarter of the damage from Ice type moves.
