PIRATES FUCK EA
EA FUCKS LEGIT GAMERS
Don't like it? Don't buy it."
Every game gets pirated and this game is released here in Europe today (I will pick up my Galactic Edition later) and a friend of mine got her copy yesterday. But why play a game that is so heavy on custom content without a legit copy so you wont get the stuff other users create?
Spore for me have been a game that basically require a purchase to get the most out of, just like a game like Battlefield2 where you basically miss half the game if you don't play on ranked servers. I guess it might be possible to get around this somehow though...
I guess the copy protection might be another factor, personally I use a Mac so I don't really have to worry?
Companies will eventually figure out that gamers do not want DRM in their games. I mean, don't get me wrong... I'm all for protecting the games themselves, but this isn't the way to do it. I don't know what is, but jumping at the first possible solution hardly seems like the answer.
EA has already made official statements in the past about the DRM on Mass Effect PC, which uses the same DRM system as Spore. Also, the 10-day periodic reautthentication of both titles has been dropped.Don't think I will, thank you very much. Enjoy owning a useless DVD after your third install.
