Well, if I'm not mistaken, it's the late fees that were the woman's main problem. I'm pretty sure in most mmo's, the inability to pay for the next month usually just results in a cancellation but in this case they continued to charge her and ask for late fees as well. Granted, she should have read the details on the game's policies but is pretty low down to hide information like that from the consumer, especially if it's info that goes against the norm. "

Wow, this really floored me... I had no idea Square Enix was up to such shenanigans with FFXI. During my time with it, I heard of no such issues, but then I never missed a payment, and when I did, I just stopped playing for good. If this is all true, this was/is an inexcusably slimy move on Square Enix's part.
