SSX 3 is a ton of fun. Shred the slopes! 0

SSX was a big surprise when it came out on the PS2 in 2000. It blended great graphics, from the then brand new PS2, a ton of style, and a fun factor that was jacked up as high as it could go. SSX Tricky didn't mess with success; it was a true sequal in every way. It played the same, but added enough new stuff to justify spending another $50. As far as snowboarding games go, little can catch this one. 1

When it comes to snow-boarding, this particular reviewer definitely isn’t one to call on for tips and tricks. Vaguely can I recall the event that took place atop a snowy peak a few hours from my hometown. I can also remember some overconfidence, a concealed tree root, and a sprained wrist. Near perfect relaxation 0

SSX3 was the first game I played in the SSX series, and I found that I instantly got hooked in an exciting and relaxing quest to rule the mountain. You get to pick a character (If I remember right mine was a black dude with yellow trousers) and then you earn points which you can use to increase your characters skill in things like Speed, Turning, Tricks, Acceleration etc. This is a racing game, not some kind of pussy 'let's mess around in the snow' game like Amped. You can race various runs, or ju...

    SSX 3 0

SSX 3 is the kind of game that has the feel of a great time in the snow, even though you know you're playing a video game where impossible yet point-scoring moves get all the ladies, especially when they can win platinum scores with enough practice. SSX 3 made up a large sum of my Nintendo Gamecube days. I have a lot of the classics on the GC, and SSX 3 was the one that made me feel like a real gamer since I was so good at it. Each file has many characters which players can built stats up, meani...
