EA just posted their first video of their 'Massive World' series - where it appears they will be detailing each zone in their game.

This first video focuses on:

• The Himalayas
• Alaska
• Siberia

Alaska reminds me of the Tokyo Megaplex with all of those rails.

Cool video - looking forward to seeing what New Zealand turns out to be like.

I know it's not very 'SSX' but I love how Siberia looks, the ice looks great. Out of those three though I think the Himalayas is the most interesting, I like the dueling aspects of the easy going grinding along the Great Wall versus the time pressure and huge jumps of the higher altitudes.

Yea, the Himalayas, that dual appeal works for me.

Has there been any word on Move or Kinect support?, not that I want either. I only ask because the last SSX game I played did have motion controls (SSX Blur), and it worked surprisingly well.

Man every time i see this game its all i think about.

Edit: biggest fear is lack of any visual "spice", everything is varying shades of blue and white, landmarks seem a little dry, a wall, some pipes, crusty factory, some ice...

@coonce: Yeah, the pipes through Alaska could be pretty fun. They do mention in Kaori's bio for the new game that her brother is building a new Tokyo Megaplex. So maybe it'll be included? Or DLC?

oh dude. i loved tokyo megaplex.

I'm so fucking pumped for this game. Probably the only EA Sports franchise I care about. Siberia looks cool with the Nuclear Power Plant and ice. I really want to see the PS3 exclusive mountain in action though, Mount Fuji.

I would be totally down for some DLC mountains/tracks. As long as the engine is solid, I could buy and play new tracks for years!

@coonce: You getting the PS3 version Coonce? I doubt they are going to put Mount Fuji in the 360 version, they made a pretty big deal about it being exclusive, so might as well get more bang for your buck.

I was sold once they announced that the normal SSX control scheme was still in the game.

That is the first I've heard of this. Total bummer if that's the case. Did you hear them discussing any 360 exclusive content?

To be frank, the whole business of platform/vendor/etc. exclusives may make sense to the publisher's bottom line, but it is a complete disservice to the end consumer.

I feel the same way, bring it on EA, I'd buy ALL THE TRACKS!

I'm still not fully sure what "Survive It" is gonna be about but I hope it's literally "you race down the mountain, fall on your head and it's game over". It actually used to bother me a little how I could fall 30 meters and land right on my head, with it being no different from tripping over a rock.
