"GSC has put out a benchmark tool.

You can find it on the official site here or via the mirror here. The file is 421 Mb.

"This benchmark is based on one of the ingame locations – Pripyat . The testing process includes four stages, those utilizing various weather and time of the day settings (day, night, rain, bright sun). In order to test your system thoroughly the benchmark is provided with a number of presets and options including different versions of DirectX (9.0, 10.0, 11), screen resolutions, antialiasing etc, all at your disposal."

    Here are my results:

Great, until the totally badass looking lighting is enabled, then it dies. Booooo-urns. :P

    Specs: i7 920 2.6ghz, 6 Gb ram, 295 GTX, Vista 64bit.

@Hamst3r: What's your rig? I can't test this until I get home, but an idea would be nice.

This benchmark will eat my computer. I really need to upgrade. Then again the Crysis benchmark ran reasonably well...on loew settings.

Then it's the same sort of performance that I got with Clear Sky (well, at least I'm hoping.
Awesome though, can't wait to give this a go.

Same settings as OP, except 1080p.

    i7 3.8ghz, GTX 275 SLI, 6GB RAM, Windows 7 64bit

All of my fps for day night and rain were exactly 60 ave, I probably had Vsync on. Will try it later without Vsync.

From what I've seen the graphics aren't very impressive. I feel that Stalker Complete 2009 had better graphics and that was a free mod project. There was also a tremendous amount of texture pop-in and shadow draw-in.

I checked out the benchmark, WOW is that one ugly benchmark!  The shadow maps for everything are the one singular positive to the graphics.

STALKER 2009 is indeed WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better looking than this benchmark, and it runs better too.
