I'm pumped about this game... I loved the first once I got past the bugs and horrible optimization.
Now I've got a new (ish) PC ready to rock... its gona be a great fall for shooters with rpg elements.
Clear Sky, Fallout 3... really I dont need to go any further than that!

It looks very promising, I never got a chance to play the first stalker, but I heard a ton of good things about it(besides some technical problems aside) and I've seen some stuff for Clear Sky and it looks really good... just gotta upgrade my PC first,which will happen sometime in the next half a year or so, then I'll pick it up for sure.

Originally they said that it will run as well as shadow of chernobyl on the same pc. Anyone know if thats still true?

Sadly no. I have friends with pretty excellent taste in games, and even they can't get into STALKER. But if you can, it's the most immersive game ever made. Just imagining it without the bugs and upgraded graphics makes me drool.

I am super psyched for this game. I loved the first game and this one looks to be even better...I still wish it would come to consoles so it could get a wider audience though.

I don't know about STALKER on consoles. One of its main draws is sucking you into the game world, one thing that never really does it for me on consoles. Whenever I'm playing a console game I've always got that thought in the back of my mind, like 'quit playing video games' or something.

It would certainly boost sales though. Game World GSC has said STALKER was pirated to no ends and they didn't make a lot of money off it.

I'm going to go to the nearest store and demand a job. After how incredible Shadow of Chernobyl was I refuse to pirate this game. It's worth a special edition purchase.
